Terms of Use

These terms explain your responsibilities, subscriptions, and the practical limits of on-device sound processing when you use Sonicraft.

1. Agreement

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using the Sonicraft iOS application (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”), the Standard EULA, and the Sonicraft Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

You must be legally capable of accepting these Terms. If local law requires a parent or guardian to approve your use, that person must review and accept these Terms for you.

2. What Sonicraft provides

Sonicraft is a task-focused sound-processing utility for iPhone. Depending on the App version, device capability, selected media, and your access level, Sonicraft may let you denoise sound, separate mixed sound, transcribe speech, preview results, edit local project information, and export files.

Processing is designed to occur on your device. Sonicraft is not a cloud storage service, backup service, digital audio workstation, general video editor, emergency service, or professional transcription certification service.

3. Your content and permissions

You retain your rights in the audio, video, recordings, transcripts, edits, and exports you process with Sonicraft (“User Content”). Sonicraft does not require you to grant us a license to User Content because the App does not upload it to a developer-operated server.

You are responsible for User Content and must have all rights, permissions, notices, and consents required to record, import, process, transcribe, edit, export, or share it. Recording and privacy laws differ by location. Do not use Sonicraft to record people without any consent or notice required by law, infringe copyright or other rights, or process unlawful content.

Sonicraft preserves a local project source and does not intentionally overwrite the original item you selected from Files or Photos. You remain responsible for device security, backups, storage space, exports, and every copy you share outside the App.

4. Acceptable use

You may use Sonicraft only for lawful purposes and in accordance with the Standard EULA. You must not:

• use the App to violate privacy, recording, intellectual property, export-control, sanctions, or other applicable laws;
• misrepresent a processed or generated result in a way that unlawfully harms another person;
• circumvent subscription, entitlement, security, or usage controls;
• interfere with the App, Apple services, or the Website; or
• reverse engineer, redistribute, sublicense, or create derivative works except where the Standard EULA, an applicable open-source license, or mandatory law permits it.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

Sonicraft may offer free features, limited uses, free trials, and auto-renewable weekly or annual subscriptions. The features, period, price, currency, trial eligibility, and renewal terms shown by Apple in the App and purchase confirmation screen at the time of purchase control.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when Apple confirms the purchase.
• An auto-renewable subscription renews unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends, subject to Apple’s terms.
• Apple may charge renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• An eligible free trial converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting Sonicraft does not cancel a subscription.
• Restore Purchases asks Apple to refresh eligible entitlements; it does not create a new purchase.

Apple processes billing, cancellation, refund, subscription eligibility, and transaction matters. Refund requests are subject to Apple’s policies and must be directed through Apple’s purchase support channels. Taxes and local price changes may apply.

6. Processing results and limitations

Sound processing depends on the source, overlapping voices or instruments, noise, clipping, reverberation, compression, device resources, and model or algorithm limits. Sonicraft does not promise perfect noise removal, separation, transcription, timestamps, synchronization, or restoration. Processing can introduce artifacts, omissions, altered sound, or incorrect words.

Review and preview a result before relying on or sharing it. Keep the original source and an appropriate backup. Do not use a Sonicraft result as the sole basis for a legal, medical, safety-critical, accessibility-critical, financial, employment, or other high-impact decision.

Long or complex work may use significant storage, battery, memory, and processing time, and may pause or restart when iOS interrupts the App or the device becomes too warm. Available features and performance may vary by supported device and OS version without changing the quality of a completed formal export.

7. Updates and availability

We may update Sonicraft to improve safety, compatibility, performance, features, or legal compliance. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue a feature or access tier where permitted by law. An update may require a supported version of iOS or additional local storage.

We do not guarantee that every media format, device condition, language, or source will be supported. Interface localization does not mean transcription is available in the same languages; supported transcription languages are identified in the App.

8. Apple and external services

Apple provides App Store distribution, StoreKit, purchases, subscriptions, refunds, device backups, and related platform services under Apple’s terms. The legal Website is delivered through Cloudflare. Links may take you to third-party websites. We are not responsible for third-party services, availability, content, or privacy practices.

You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Sonicraft, including the Apple Media Services Terms and the terms of any file, photo, storage, or sharing provider you choose.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sonicraft is provided “as is” and “as available,” with the disclaimers set out in the Standard EULA. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, consumer guarantee, refund right, or other protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the limitations of liability in the Standard EULA apply. We are not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized access to your device, failure to maintain backups, sharing an export to the wrong destination, relying on an unreviewed result, or using Sonicraft in violation of law. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

11. Ending use

You may stop using Sonicraft at any time and delete the App. Deleting the App does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancel it separately in your Apple Account settings. Your rights under the Standard EULA may end if you fail to comply with its terms. Sections that by their nature should survive—including responsibility for User Content, disclaimers, limitations, and third-party terms—remain applicable after you stop using the App.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when Sonicraft, its subscriptions, distribution, or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. If a material change requires notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it before the change takes effect.

These Terms are intended to work with Apple’s Standard EULA and applicable consumer law. They are not a substitute for rights that mandatory law gives you.
